Home : Personal Injury : Vioxx
Vioxx is a prescription medicine used to relieve the signs and symptoms of arthritis. It is also used to relived acute pain in adults and painful menstrual cycles. In September 2004, Merck (the manufacturer) removed Vioxx from the market, after research data demonstrated that it increased the risk of heart attack, stroke and developing blood clots. There were earlier studies that demonstrated the association between Vioxx and serious cardiac events, but Merck disputed those results. If you were taking Vioxx, you should contact a lawyer immidiatly, to be part of a class-action lawsuit.
